Meet Our Doctors

Jay Stewart
Jay Stewart, DVM

Dr. Stewart graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. He practiced veterinary medicine for 3 years in Hawaii before moving to Oregon, where he established Aumsville Animal Clinic. He wholeheartedly enjoys all aspects of private practice and ownership with its constant variety and challenge. He feels that some of his proudest moments have been in the clinic. “I feel that I have chosen a profession that I love. One where I get to see my friends and their pets daily and get paid for it.”
Dr. Stewart is a board member and Past Companion Animal Parasite Council President.

When he is not working, Dr. Stewart and his wife, Carla, enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. He also enjoys many outdoor activities, such as snowboarding, mountain biking, motorcycle riding, and SCUBA diving.

Michael Morrow
Michael Morrow, DVM

Dr. Morrow received his DVM degree from Colorado State University in 2006. He joined the Aumsville Animal Clinic family in 2010 and transitioned to a partner in 2016. He loves all facets of veterinary medicine from simple wellness to medicine and surgery. “There is nothing more gratifying than sharing the journey with pets and their clients frm birth to end of life, and all the ups and downs along the way. ” He is certified in canine rehabilitation from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute (CCRT) to complement his medicine and orthopedic surgery.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and life/work partner Dr Katie Morrow, speaking French and hiking in Silver Falls with his daughters Hannah and Claire.

Katie Morrow
Katie Morrow, DVM

Dr. Katie Morrow completed her degree in veterinary medicine at Colorado State University in 2006, where she met her husband, Dr. Mike Morrow. They have two daughters, Hannah and Claire, and two cats and a horse. Dr. Katie was excited to join Aumsville Animal Clinic in May 2015. Dr. Katie is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and enjoys using it to complement traditional Western medicine and surgery. Dr. Katie enjoys riding her horse and spending time with her family in her spare time.

Megan Anderson
Megan Anderson, DVM

Dr. Megan Anderson graduated from the University of Glasgow Vet School in 2014. She practiced in Hawaii for a year before returning to Oregon and joining the team at Aumsville in September 2016. She has a special interest in surgery and the challenges it brings.

Dr. Megan enjoys traveling, especially back to Scotland, volleyball, and scuba diving.

Ashley Burns
Ashley Burns, DVM

Dr. Ashley Burns joined Aumsville Animal Clinic in December 2022. She worked in corporate practice for a year and a half before returning to her small hometown roots and private practice.

A local girl who grew up in the Stayton area, Dr. Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Oregon State University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee in 2021.

Dr. Ashley enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a passion for surgery, veterinary reproduction, and an interest in large-animal veterinary medicine and small-animal practice. She is a member of the AVMA and a certified bovine AI doctor. Dr. Ashley focuses on positive communication and building a good rapport with clients while providing the highest quality care for their pets.
Dr. Ashley enjoys hiking, horseback riding, softball, and spending time on the beach in her free time. She also enjoys spending time with family, her cat, and her two Akitas.

Brittany Routledge, DVM
Brittany Routledge, DVM

Dr. Brittany joined Aumsville Animal Clinic in August 2023. She grew up in Southern California and studied Animal Sciences at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on the central coast of California. She continued her education at UC Davis and graduated in 2023 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After a month long veterinary externship in Corvallis, OR, she fell in love with the area and decided to move to the Willamette Valley to explore all the wonderful things Oregon and the PNW have to offer.

Dr. Brittany’s veterinary interests include acupuncture, surgery, and building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and their families.

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, snowboarding, hiking with her pup, exploring new water sports, traveling, and doing home renovations.

Megan Anderson
Valerie Molinari, BVSc

Dr. Valerie Molinari graduated from The University of Melbourne Veterinary School in 2015. She then completed a rotating small animal internship at VCA Encina Veterinary Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California before she continued working as a relief veterinarian in the Bay Area. She moved to Oregon in August 2022 and since then has been a relief veterinarian at Aumsville Animal Clinic. Dr. Molinari enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine with special interests in client education and feline medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Molinari enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing, and playing board games.
